Winter booster

Making a smoothie with Florida grapefruit, banana​,​ kale,​ avocado​ and cucumber​ ​will provide your body with ​3​00% ​of it's daily​ requirements of ​vitamin C, ​as well as ​vitamin A, ​potassium and fibre. ​A natural energy boost ​that comes useful during winter time!

Ingredients
  • juice of 2 Florida grapefruits
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 50 g kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cucumber
Preparation
  1. Slice the grapefruits in halves and squeeze the juice. 
  2. Take the skin of the banana and break into 3 pieces. 
  3. Rinse kale in a strainer (2 hands is 50 grams).
  4. Cut the avocado lengthways and slice straight through the middle till you hit the pit.
  5. Rinse the cucumber and cut in large pieces.
  6. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend till a rich and creamy moisture exists. 
  7. Add 100 ml of water if the smoothie comes out too thick.
