Dairy intolerant, vegan or Paleo, you can still enjoy yogurt by making it from coconut milk. A delicious and simple recipe!
The bacteria in the Probiotic capsules ferment the sugar in the coconut milk so it becomes yogurt. When you use a Probiotic with 12 million active colony forming units, you can expect 10 times more active bacteria in just a few days!
1 liter, 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 Probiotic capsules
- 800 ml coconut milk
- 200 g creamed coconut
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar (or honey)
Materials:
- Glass container + lid (1 liter)
Preparation
- Sterilize your container, mixing spoons and other utensils with boiling water.
- Add coconut milk, creamed coconut into a blender and blend on low, gradually increasing the speed to high, until a smooth mixture.
- Add 1 tbs coconut sugar (or honey) and blend for 30 sec.
- Spoon the mixture in a glass container and add the Probiotic capsules.
- Stir the probiotic through the mixture with you mixing spoon.
- Place the container for 24 ours in the oven (light on).
- After 24 hours you place the coconut yogurt outside the fridge to cool down. Later you keep it in the fridge.
- It can be kept in the fridge for at least 1 week.
