Detox smoothie

This combination of beets, spinach, fiber, lemon and apple cider vinegar is the ultimate detox! This smoothie nourishes the good intestinal bacteria and is exactly what you need after the holidays!

Ingredients
  • 1 hand spinach
    1/4 cucumber
  • 1 lemon (peeled) - make sure you blend the whole lemon not just the juice!
  • 1 hand frozen blue berries/raspberries
  • ½ raw beet half (skin removed) sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons raw cashew nuts or almonds
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 150 ml water

Add to increase the protein content:

  • 1-2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 scoop plain protein powder or collagen protein
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen

Topping: 1 tbsp shredded coconut

Preparation
  • Add the spinach, fruit, beet, cashew, ginger, apple cider vinegar, and water to a high speed blender and mix until no visible chunks. If your smoothie needs to be thicker, add about ½ cup of ice and blend until smooth.
  • Add extra ingredients if you wish.
  • Pour into a glass and add toppings
  • Drink your smoothie mindfully and enjoy!
